For those of you who aren't familiar with Bozoma Saint John, we suggest you get familiar. She is a great example for entrepreneurs and business leaders. With a resume that includes executive positions with the likes of Apple, Beats, Pepsi and now Uber, Bozoma has wisdom to share.

She was recently spotlighted for becoming Uber's new Chief Brand Officer but it's her journey to this position that's even more interesting. From starting out as a receptionist, to becoming a C-Level executive for a global company, there's a lot we can learn from Bozoma's great come up. Entrepreneur has an article with 5 take aways we can all take away from her story, here's just a few I'd like to highlight:

1. Saying "please" is important. When asked her favorite word in an interview with The Guardian, Saint John simply replied, "Please. It gets me everything I need."

2. One person can make a difference. In response to a question about the ability to change Uber's company culture, Bozoma answered with this principle. An infectious attitude is all it takes to get change the trajectory of an organization, but it's up to us to make sure it's a positive one.

3. Listen to your gut. Trust your gut feelings; especially when meeting new people. If you get a sense something is off, it probably is or will be.
