Jalapeno Margarita
It's Cinco De Mayo and what better way to celebrate than a refreshing Jalapeño Margarita! We found this recipe on the FoodNetwork.com website. It's super easy and only takes 10 minutes to make. Here's how to make a Jalapeño Margarita:
To Start, you will need:
1 Thin Slice Jalapeno
A Handful of Celery Leaves
6 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
1 Spoonful of Confectioners' Sugar
16 oz. of Your Favorite Tequila (this mom prefers 1800 Silver)
8 oz. Orange Liqueur (we chose Grand Marnier)
Salt (or Sugar) for the Glass Rims
Ice
Directions:
Pulse 1 thin slice jalapeno, a handful of celery leaves, 6 ounces fresh lime juice and a spoonful of confectioners' sugar in a blender. After, mix your green mixture with 16 ounces tequila and 8 ounces orange liqueur in a pitcher and chill. Serve on the rocks in salt (or sugar)-rimmed glasses.
Side Note - Instead of putting a single slice of Jalapeño, we used a full Jalapeño which made the margarita very spicy and gave the drink a darker green color. On the plus, it clears your sinuses!
